Maine Matters 2026

Read all of our coverage of Maine's 2026 election or stay up to date with the latest developments through the Maine Political Report in your inbox or text messages from politics editor Kirby Wilson.

Trying to watch the local and national news has practically become impossible thanks to the endless political commercials. I would love to see someone fact-check some of the crazy statements made about the candidates, especially Troy Jackson.

It’s a shame we can’t put this money to good use. These commercials are just annoying and probably won’t change voter’s minds. I’ve started turning down the sound.
