Hannah Pingree will continue to deliver for coastal Maine | Letter

As coastal Mainers, we have seen firsthand the devastating impact of storms, severe coastal erosion in Saco and flooding in Old Orchard Beach. Protecting our coastline is an urgent economic and environmental necessity. That’s why, with my background in environmental engineering, I proudly support former Speaker of the House Hannah Pingree for governor.

As director of the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future and as Maine Climate Council co-chair, Hannah has been a tireless champion for coastal resilience. Under her leadership, the Community Resilience Partnership delivered direct grants and support to communities like ours, helping to strengthen our ability to protect homes and livelihoods. She knows that smart resilience investments save taxpayer dollars and ensure the sustainability of our natural resources-based economy.

Maine needs proven, executive leadership to safeguard our coastal communities for future generations. Hannah Pingree has delivered real results for coastal Maine and will again as governor.
