Sending a rookie senator to Washington is a bad idea | Letter

I am hopeful the voters of this state will have the good sense to reelect Sen. Susan Collins in November. She is the hardest-working legislator in Washington, D.C., never missing a vote in Congress. She has secured hundreds of millions of dollars that benefit all Mainers.
Sending a rookie senator to Washington to replace Collins is not a good idea. No freshman senator would be able to accomplish one-tenth of what Sen. Collins can. Maine has one of the highest tax burdens in the nation, along with some of the highest electricity rates, because of policies from Augusta. Her opponent has presided over many of these very policies, and now thinks we should send him to Washington to fight for Mainers.
I, for one, have seen all I care to see regarding how Troy Jackson fights for Mainers. Susan Collins is “Our Senator” and deserves our vote in November.
