I am proud to call Portland my home. We do have challenges ahead in addressing taxes, budgets and homelessness. Our schools continue to be a bright spot for our community. I am supporting Kate Snyder for the at-large City Council seat because of her vast and successful leadership as the city’s mayor and school board chair. She knows what needs to get done and how to accomplish the city’s future goals.

I do want changes but I also recognize how important it is to elect knowledgeable and proven leaders. I believe that important changes can happen if we elect a person like Kate, who has been committed to making our city a better place.
