Joey Brunelle will answer the call for Portland | Letter

This fall I’ll vote for Joey Brunelle to become Portland city councilor at-large. Of all the candidates running, he will best represent Portlanders. He has used the extensive knowledge and understanding of Portland to work on issues to improve the quality of life for Portlanders. Those include making housing more affordable, making Portland’s energy greener and making city government more responsive to the needs of its people while helping us better understand how city government works.
And, because Brunelle is the only Clean Elections candidate running for this office, he will listen to us.
I was surprised to discover that the other candidates running against him are not participating in Portland’s Clean Elections program. As we step into the voting booth this fall, we need to ask ourselves: Whose email will the candidate answer first, ours or that of a large donor?
