Why should people vote for Henry Ingwersen to serve a third term in the Maine Senate, representing Arundel, Biddeford, Dayton, Hollis and Lyman? There are many reasons, but I’ll focus on one: childcare.
I’ve known Henry for over 30 years, since he taught my son at an alternative elementary school in Arundel. We’ve been good friends ever since.
Recently, while putting up campaign signs with Henry, I asked how Maine is addressing the childcare crisis. Parents struggle with costs, workers are underpaid and centers struggle to stay open. As chair of the Health and Human Services Committee, Henry has worked to improve child care affordability, support workers’ wages, protect funding and expand access. As a grandfather of 12, he knows these challenges firsthand.
I strongly encourage everyone to vote for Henry to continue this important work for Maine families.
