Eleni Richardson for South Portland School Board | Letter

Eleni Richardson is a deeply engaged and effective leader, and I’m excited to support her for another term as an at-large member of the South Portland School Board. As a board member, she asks hard questions and keeps the well-being of students and teachers at the forefront of every discussion.

Apart from her board position, working long hours on her own time, Eleni has been essential to our community’s response to ICE detentions, serving as a critical bridge between volunteers and school staff trying to keep kids and families safe. She is exactly the kind of leader we need at a time when the school department and the city as a whole are facing complex challenges — someone who is collaborative and acts with conviction.
