Troy Jackson champions accessibility and inclusion | Letter

As a disabled person, accessibility and inclusion are essential to informed voting.
While all that was asked of Troy Jackson was to provide interpreters, his team arranged an entire ADA section for his large events. May all politicians learn from Troy’s example.
Disabled Mainers deserve a seat at the table and Troy provides that seat. Our rights and independence are under threat and he takes those threats seriously. I know that while this administration attacks us, Troy will be right there, making sure that our rights and safety are protected.
We belong. Our voices matter. And we deserve to be part of shaping our future.
I thank Troy for making accessibility and inclusion visible and for helping show what it looks like when the disability community is welcomed into the political process.
Disabled Mainers are here. We are engaged. We are paying attention. And we deserve to be included.
