I am writing to express my strong support for Dan Sayre for Maine Senate District 34, representing Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Wells, Berwick and North Berwick. What impresses me most about Dan is not simply his positions on the issues, but the kind of person he is. He listens carefully, approaches difficult questions thoughtfully and understands that representing a community means working with people who may not always agree with him.
At a time when politics can seem increasingly focused on division, Maine needs legislators who
are willing to listen, find common ground and concentrate on getting things done. I believe
Dan Sayre will bring that approach to the State Senate, much like he has done while serving in
the Maine House representing District 135 since 2022.
During his tenure in the Legislature he has focused on Maine’s economy and lowering costs for working families. He has served as House chair of the Taxation Committee, co-chair of the bipartisan Innovation and Growth Caucus and co-chair of the Maine-Canadian Legislative Advisory Commission.
Four generations of Dan’s family live right here in southern Maine, which is why I also believe
Dan understands the importance of protecting what makes our communities special while
addressing the very real challenges facing Maine families.
For these reasons, I am proud to support Dan Sayre and encourage voters in District 34 to give
him their consideration and their vote.
