Sea Dogs use long ball to beat Fisher Cats

Ronald Rosario hit a pair of two-run homers, and Will Turner and Brooks Brannon also went deep Friday night as the Portland Sea Dogs earned a 7-5 win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in an Eastern League game in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Rosario tied the game at 3-3 in the fourth inning with his fifth home run of the season, then broke a 5-5 deadlock in the eighth with a fly ball over the right-field wall.

Turner belted a solo home run in the third inning, and Brannon put the Sea Dogs ahead 5-4 with a two-run blast in the fifth. Brannon ranks second on the team with 14 homers and 47 RBI, trailing only Franklin Arias in both categories.

Jeremy Wu-Yelland was credited with the win after allowing one run in 2 2/3 innings after relieving Sea Dogs starer John Holobetz.

Patrick Halligan got the last four outs for his sixth save.
