Sea Dogs Dominate Rumble Ponies With 14‑6 Victory in Portland

The Portland Sea Dogs rolled past the Binghamton Rumble Ponies 14‑6 on Thursday at Hadlock Field, extending their lead in the three‑game series to a 2‑1 advantage.

The game’s turning point came early in the fourth inning. Portland’s Ahbram Liendo delivered a grand slam that tied the game, while Ronald Rosario followed with a solo shot, giving the Sea Dogs a 6‑1 lead after a total of six runs in the inning. The rally set the tone for the remainder of the contest.

Binghamton struck first when Jacob Reimer hit a three‑run homer in the opening frame, but the Sea Dogs answered with a second‑inning burst that pushed the score to 8‑3. Portland’s offense continued to roll in the eighth inning, when Mason White belted a solo home run and Caden Rose hit a three‑run shot, adding six more runs for a final tally of 14‑6.

White also stole home and added a double in the same frame. He finished the game 3‑for‑3 at the plate, driving in four runs. Rosario finished 2‑for‑4, posting three RBI and scoring twice for the Sea Dogs.

The win marks Portland’s second triumph in the opening three games of the series, giving them a 2‑1 edge over Binghamton. The victory comes in a mid‑season stretch that has seen the Sea Dogs’ offense perform with plenty of power and consistency.
