Sea Dogs give up 4 in 6th in loss to Fisher Cats

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat the Portland Sea Dogs 5-2 in an Eastern League game on Wednesday in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Johanfran Garcia hit an RBI double in the top of the sixth for Portland to tie the game 1-1. New Hampshire quickly answered when Eric Snow and Mathieu Vallee both drew one-out walks and advanced on a double steal. Nick Goodwin gave the Fisher Cats the lead with a sacrifice fly and Dub Gleed hit a three-run homer to make it 5-1.

Miguel Bleis hit an RBI single in the ninth for Portland.

Alexis Hernandez hit an RBI single in the first to give New Hampshire a 1-0 lead.

Sea Dogs starting pitcher Hayden Mullins allowed a run on five hits, while striking out eight and walking two in 4 2/3 innings. Cooper Adams took the loss in relief, allowing four runs on two hits and three walks in one inning

New Hampshire has won two of the first three games of the six-game series.
