Sea Dogs drop third in a row against Yard Goats

Hartford, ME — In a high‑scoring Eastern League contest at Hadlock Field, the Hartford Yard Goats out‑batted the Portland Sea Dogs 10‑8, overcoming a 3‑1 opening deficit and a late rally to secure the win.
GJ Hill delivered the decisive blow, hitting his fourth home run in as many games. The 2‑run shot came in the sixth inning during a six‑run burst that turned the tide for the Yard Goats. Hill finished the night with three RBIs and moved his total to eight homers for the season—half of those coming after Wednesday’s game.
The Yard Goats’ rally began after falling behind 3‑1 in the first. They rallied to take a 4‑3 lead before the Sea Dogs tied the game again, but the sixth inning proved pivotal. In addition to Hill’s homer, Zach Kokoska doubled for two runs, and the Yard Goats added four more runs to bring the score to 10‑4 before Portland managed a single run in the eighth.
Portland’s offense was led by Ahbram Liendo, who accounted for five runs. Liendo’s production came in the form of a bases‑loaded double in the second inning, a sacrifice fly in the sixth, and an RBI single in the eighth. He, along with Ronald Rosario, Nelly Taylor, Miguel Bleis and Caden Rose, each collected two hits for the Sea Dogs.
The game showcased the Yard Goats’ offensive resilience, with Hill’s power hitting and Kokoska’s timely double propelling the team to a come‑from‑behind victory. The Sea Dogs, despite a strong start and a solid lineup, were unable to maintain the lead and fell short in the final innings.
