RICHMOND — It’s dusk, and as practice wraps up Thursday for the Richmond girls soccer team at the Burney-Gardner Athletic Complex, the group of 10 players is deep in thought.
The Bobcats have no problem being of the same mind on the pitch. Richmond went 16-1 last season, reaching the eight-person South final before falling to Bangor Christian. The Bobcats lost only two players to graduation and should be contenders again.
But when it comes to this question, the team is stumped: What is the best pre-match song?
The players’ answers vary from “CPR” by cupcakKe to “Bringing Sexy Back” by Justin Timberlake. The overall goal, however, remains the same: Bring a concerted winning energy to the pitch for every match.
Here are the team’s favorite pre-game tunes.
