After a fatal crash that left several people dead, a small group of survivors, family members and community friends said that coming together has been a vital part of their healing.
"We say sticking together has helped us process the deadly crash," one of the survivors, who asked to remain anonymous, said.
The group has met informally in a local hall, shared meals and taken turns listening to one another’s memories. The sense of solidarity, the simple fact that no one is alone in the aftermath, has made the grief more bearable for everyone involved.
