21‑Year‑Old South Florida Influencer Killed in Drive‑by Shooting in Miramar

Brianna Johnson, a 21‑year‑old social‑media personality known on Instagram as dreamdoll_brii, was shot to death Sunday morning in Miramar, Florida, after a drive‑by attack on a luxury SUV. The incident, which occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, has been described by police as a rapid‑fire assault that left the vehicle riddled with bullets and ultimately forced it into a nearby house.

A Morning of Violence

According to the Miramar Police Department, Johnson was riding in a lime‑green Lamborghini Urus with two other passengers when gunfire erupted. Video captured by local television station WSVN shows a white sedan trailing the Lamborghini down a street before the shooter opens fire from the side of the road. The Lamborghini, which was still moving at the time, spun out of control, crossed an intersection, and crashed into a house that had been a nearby residence. The crash caused additional damage to the vehicle, leaving it littered with bullet holes that, as police say, “looked like they were fired rapidly.”

“ShotSpotter notifications prompted us to investigate the area immediately,” said a Miramar police spokesperson. The alerts, which detect the sound of gunfire, prompted officers to arrive on scene, where they found the vehicle and confirmed the shooting.

Chief Delrish Moss, speaking to local news, described the gunfire as “rapid‑fire,” noting that the shooter was able to fire several rounds before the Lamborghini was brought to a halt. “The vehicle was heavily damaged and crashed into a nearby house,” Moss added. The investigation is still ongoing, and officers are working to identify the suspect.

The Victims

Johnson, whose birth name is Brianna Johnson, was known on TikTok and Instagram as _itgirlbri and dreamdoll_brii, respectively. Her accounts were followed by nearly 500,000 people—about 388,000 on TikTok and 88,800 on Instagram—where she regularly posted lifestyle and beauty content. She was among a group of three who were inside the Lamborghini at the time of the shooting. The other two occupants were transported to a local hospital in critical condition, though their identities have not yet been released.

The driver of the Lamborghini, as well as the driver of the white sedan who fired the shots, are not yet identified. Police have not released any additional information regarding the motive behind the attack, though they have said that the vehicle was being followed after the group had left a large party at a nearby home and stopped at a gas station where an altercation reportedly took place.

Community Reactions

Friends, family, and fans of Johnson flooded her social‑media accounts with messages of condolence after the death was confirmed. A woman identifying herself as Johnson’s cousin, who goes by the Instagram handle pdolly26, posted a series of stories expressing her grief and confirming that the victim was the well‑known South Florida influencer. She also shared details about the shooting and urged her followers to respect the privacy of those still in critical condition.

Johnson’s followers and other internet users posted tributes across both TikTok and Instagram, with many sharing photos of her smiling and referencing the bright, colorful aesthetic that had made her a popular figure in the region’s online community.

What’s Next

Miramar Police remain focused on identifying the shooter and any additional suspects. The department is reviewing surveillance footage from the scene, which shows the SUV following the Lamborghini before the attack, and is also investigating the alleged fight at the gas station that preceded the shooting.

The case is currently classified as an active homicide investigation, and police have urged anyone with information—no matter how small—about the incident or the individuals involved to come forward.

Johnson’s death has drawn attention not only to the dangers of drive‑by shootings but also to the high‑profile lives of young internet personalities. As the community mourns, the focus remains on bringing justice to the victims and their families.
