Oceanside High girls basketball standout Olivia Breen is leaving the Rockland school after one stellar season with the Mariners.

Breen, who was a freshman in 2025-26, is transferring to Masters Academy International in Stow, Massachusetts, she announced via Instagram on Wednesday evening. She is also reclassifying to the Class of 2030.

A 6-foot-3 forward, the Varsity Maine All-State selection averaged 24.5 points and 10.4 rebounds. The Mariners went 20-2, beating Gray-New Gloucester in the Class B South title game before falling to Lawrence in the state final.

“Oceanside will always be my roots,” wrote Breen, who attended Montverde Academy in Florida her eighth-grade year before returning home to attend Oceanside. “(I am) so ready to embrace this wonderful opportunity.”

One of the most highly touted Maine girls basketball prospects in years, Breen got an offer from Boston College before she began eighth grade. She also has received offers from Rutgers, Harvard, Providence and Robert Morris.

Masters Academy International is an athletic-focused preparatory boarding school set to open this fall. The school plans to offer basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, lacrosse, golf, figure skating and fencing.

Breen is the younger sister of Bailey Breen, a two-time state champion and three-time Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Player of the Year who is a sophomore at the University of Maine.
