I read the recent news report that included information about plans for a mass biker takeover of “Secret Beach” in Cape Elizabeth on July 25.
As a biker and a local resident who has been significantly affected by the beach car parking issue, I say, “Welcome!”
I hope the bikers appreciate the open bike lanes they will ride on their way to the beach, lanes devoid of parked cars. They will have the delight of riding without competing with opening car doors, tourist drivers, trolleys and huge tour buses on their way to Portland Head Light.
