Obituary: Marie B. Tirabassi
Marie B. Tirabassi, 95, died on Sept. 26, 2026, at the Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough. Born March 17, 1931, in Van Buren, she was the daughter of the late Louise McIntosh.
Tirabassi was preceded in death by her husband, Albert A. Tirabassi, and her sister, Theresa Fox. She leaves behind children Anthony, Michael (wife Sharon), Tina (husband Jack Kelly), and Ed (wife Kelly); grandchildren David, Katie, Peter, Joseph, Amy, Ann, and Eddie Jr. (Angela); great-grandchildren Naomi, Nico, Vivian, Valerie, Izack, and Gracelyn; sister Marie Basmajian; and many extended family members.
The family wishes to thank the Maine Veterans Home staff for the care provided during Marie’s final days. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 8, at Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Homes of South Portland, 1024 Broadway. Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maine Veterans Home, and an online memorial guestbook is available through the funeral home’s website.
