Linda Pelletier of Great Island, 73, Dies
Great Island, Brunswick – Linda “Lindy” Pelletier, a longtime resident of Great Island and beloved member of the Brunswick community, died peacefully on Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 73.
Born in Brunswick on Nov. 30, 1952, Linda was the daughter of Leo Octave and Marie Noella Pelletier. She spent much of her career at the historic Brunswick Nursing Home, where she was remembered for her compassion and warm smile. Friends and coworkers recall her “infectious giggle” and her habit of greeting everyone with a kind word.
Linda shared a life with her husband, Augustine “Frenchy” Pelletier, who predeceased her in 2014. Their home on Great Island was a hub for family gatherings and quiet afternoons by the water. She also cherished nature walks, Goodwill shopping, and time spent with her family.
Her family includes sisters Patricia Brown of Great Island and Shirley Hansen of Daytona Beach, Florida, as well as a brother, Leo Pelletier of Portland, Maine. Linda is survived by a large number of nieces and nephews who will miss her gentle spirit and loving presence.
