BIDDEFORD – Janet Hanson passed away on Oct. 19, 2026, at her home. She was born on June 29, 1944, to Lucien and Marsha (Hutchins) Bedard and was educated in Arundel and Kennebunk schools.
She married Wayne Hanson on Jan. 19, 1974. They celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Janet worked as an antique dealer, which was her passion. She enjoyed shopping, telling jokes and laughing, animals of any kind, plants and flowers, and Christmas. She especially loved her adopted daughter, Victoria, and adopted son, Chris. She loved to be called “Ma.”
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; adopted daughter, Victoria, adopted son, Chris; and many cousins and friends.
At her request, there will be no services.
