Obituary: Jane Blanchard

 Jane Blanchard PORTLAND – Jane Blanchard, 79, of Portland, passed away on June 30, 2026. Born Oct. 2, 1946, in Winchendon, Mass., she was the daughter of Phyllis (Wolski) Havener and Pierre Havener. Jane worked for many years at KinderCare after spending time as a governess in New Jersey. She loved children, especially infants, and was known for her strong spirit, positivity, and determination through many health challenges. She enjoyed music, thrift shopping, Subway outings, and playing Bingo and cards with her friend, Kim. Jane is survived by her daughters, Melissa, Jane, and Karen; and her grandchildren, Joel, Morgan, Gregory, and Brayden. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim Blanchard. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 11, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories.
