Obituary: Elaine (Lekousi) Erickson

 Elaine (Lekousi) Erickson SOUTH PORTLAND – Elaine Erickson passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, at the age of 72. Born and raised in Portland, Elaine was the daughter of Christine and James Lekousi. She grew up in a close-knit Greek family. Elaine is survived by her daughter, Athena Erickson-Davis, her son, Douglas Erickson, her son-in-law, Rhad Davis; her brothers Steven (Cheryl), Peter (Sandra), and Chris (Joanne Flaherty); her four grandchildren, Jimmy, Bailey, Olivia, and Sephy; along with nieces and nephews; many, cousins; and lifelong friends who will remember her kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents Christine and James Lekousi. Elaine will be remembered for her deep compassion, her devotion to family, her musical gifts, and the love she expressed through both care and song. She believed that no matter how difficult life became, you kept moving forward—a message she shared in the song she wrote and in the life she lived. If you were fortunate enough to know her, chances are you heard her sing. Her voice—and the love behind it—will never be forgotten. Her family would like to thank the Barron Center and Pinnacle Health for taking care of her all these years. Visiting hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, at Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland, where a time of sharing and reflection will begin at 12 p.m. A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8 at Forest City Cemetery, Lincoln St., South Portland.
