Obituary: Dennis B. Wetmore
CASCO — A celebration of life service for Dennis B. Wetmore, a longtime resident of the Sebago Lake region who died this spring, is scheduled for early October at Hall Funeral Home.
Wetmore passed away on March 21, 2026. The memorial service will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, at the funeral home at 165 Quaker Ridge Road. The family will receive visitors during an hour of visitation beforehand, beginning at 2 p.m.
The six-month gap between Wetmore's death and the planned service reflects a choice families sometimes make to accommodate travel schedules, seasonal weather, or the availability of distant relatives and friends. Early October in the Lakes Region typically offers mild temperatures and peak foliage, a time of year when the area's natural beauty is on full display.
Hall Funeral Home, a family-owned operation that has served Casco and the surrounding towns for generations, is handling the arrangements. The funeral home's location on Quaker Ridge Road places it near the intersection of Routes 11 and 121, accessible from both the Portland area and the western foothills.
No further biographical details, survivor information, or specifics about Wetmore's life and career were included in the service announcement. The notice invites all family and friends to attend the celebration of his life.
