Obituary: David Reed Robinson

David Reed Robinson
CRYSTAL – David Reed Robinson, 69, passed away unexpectedly at home on Oct. 10, 2026.
He was born in Bangor on Dec. 2, 1956. His father was a student at UMO, and Orono was his first home, along with his older brother.
After his father’s graduation, the family moved several times before settling in Falmouth, which David considered his hometown. He graduated from Falmouth High School in 1974.
He always had a love of music, and enjoyed putting on Beatles concerts for the family as a child.
He had a vast record collection containing hundreds of albums, and a disdain for today’s music technology. No “playlists” for him!
He was a talented athlete, playing baseball, basketball and golf, and had a great love for the family’s lakeside camp in Aroostook County, so much so, that he moved to the area in the late 1990s. At the time of his death, he was living in the town of Crystal, population 243.
David liked living a simple life. He was the quiet guy who would come out with a zinger at just the right moment.
He was honest, loyal, intelligent, and the life of the party when he wanted to be, and he will be deeply missed.
David was predeceased by his parents Jonathan C. Robinson, and Carolyn (Olsen) Robinson.
He is survived by siblings Mark Robinson of Winn and his family, and Kristen Robinson of Portland.
