Obituary: David Allen Estes

PORTLAND – David Allen Estes, 80, of Fryeburg, passed away on Sunday June 21, 2026, at Maine Medical Center with Gail Holt by his side. He was born June 4, 1946, in North Conway, N.H. to Donald and Beulah (Smith) Estes of Baldwin, Maine. He was a logger and a forester for many years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with nature, especially watching the wildlife. He enjoyed doing odd jobs and helping people. He appreciated life’s simple pleasures. He loved his garden and working on vehicles. David is survived by his son, Richard; and his sister, Sharon LeGoff and her husband Roger; his niece, Patty LeGoff and her partner David Richardson, nephew, Roger L. LeGoff and his wife Betty; and cousin, Craig Estes. In respecting David’s wishes, there will be no services.
