Missing Westbrook woman found safe after police search

A 31-year-old Westbrook woman who was reported missing by her family over the weekend has been located and is safe, according to the Westbrook Police Department.

Gabrielle Lodge had been the subject of a public search after her family raised the alarm on Sunday. On Sunday afternoon, at approximately 2:50 p.m., police issued a statement asking community members to come forward with any information about her whereabouts.

Roughly two hours later, authorities confirmed that Lodge had been found.

"We are pleased to report that the missing female has been located, and they are safe," Capt. Steve Goldberg of the Westbrook Police Department said in a statement.

No additional details about the circumstances of Lodge's disappearance or where she was found were released. The case marks a swift resolution to a disappearance that briefly drew public attention in the city of Westbrook, a community of roughly 20,000 residents just west of Portland.
