Maine contractors say they are still owed millions for work on Portland cold storage facility

Mark Curtis, the general manager of Gorham Sand & Gravel in Gorham, Maine, has confirmed that his company is owed roughly one million dollars.

Curtis told local reporters the debt comes from unpaid invoices issued to a client for services rendered. “We’re still waiting on payment for the work we performed,” he said, adding that the outstanding balance has been accruing for several months.

The company, which supplies construction materials throughout the region, has not indicated whether the delay is the result of a contractual dispute or a simple oversight. No official statement has yet been released by the customer or the company’s finance department.
