Lysander Piano Trio performs in Bowdoin International Music Festival
Next up in the Bowdoin International Music Festival is the Lysander Piano Trio at 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 6, at Studzinski Recital Hall at 12 Campus Road in Brunswick. Itamar Zorman on violin, James Kim on cello and Liza Stepanova on piano make up the trio recognized for its imaginative programming and engaging performances.

The Lysander Piano Trio has established itself as one of the leading chamber ensembles today. The trio has appeared at major concert venues and festivals across the United States, earning acclaim for interpretations of both beloved masterworks and new repertoire.
While this marks the trio’s first appearance at the Bowdoin International Music Festival, audiences will recognize violinist Zorman and pianist Stepanova from their many festival performances as members of the artist-faculty.
Monday’s program: Intermezzo from “Goyescas” by Enrique Granados (arr. Cassado); Piano Trio in G Major, Op. 82, No. 2, Hob. XV:25, “Rondo all’Ongarese” by Franz Joseph Haydn; “Color Through” by Jennifer Higdon; and “Verklärte Nacht, Op. 4” by Arnold Schoenberg (arr. Steuermann).
