Lobster Roll Remix returns for Maine Lobster Week

The Lobster Roll Remix, a cooking competition to benefit the Maine Lobstermen’s Relief Fund, returns for a second year as part of Maine Lobster Week.
The sixth annual Maine Lobster Week runs from Sept. 19-26. The Remix event is set for Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Southern Maine Community College.
The Lobster Roll Remix features chefs from area restaurants offering creative takes on the classic Maine lobster roll. Maine Lobster Week organizer say eventgoers can expect rolls influenced by Spanish, Indian, Italian, Thai cuisines and more.
Restaurants and businesses participating in the Remix include Dok Mali, Douro, The Honey Paw, Indy’s Sandwich, Portland Lobster Company, Sicilian Table, Sodexo Group, Taj Indian Cuisine and Ugly Duckling.
The evening will also include tastes of beer from Rupee Beer and Geary Brewing Co., non-alcoholic beer from 1820 Brewing, and espresso martinis from Tides and Vibes Cocktails.
