Justin Rose Buries Dramatic Hole-in-One During otherwise Forgettable Final Round at Tour Championship

Justin Rose delivered a moment of magic Sunday that even a rough day couldn't diminish.

The English golfer, struggling through the final round of the PGA Tour's season finale, found himself 2-over par and well out of contention when he stepped onto the ninth tee. What happened next turned everything around.

Rose pulled a six-iron and struck his ball cleanly. The shot covered 208 yards, carried over water, and dropped directly into the cup for a hole-in-one.

"Every ace is rare, but they don't get much better than a slam-dunk hole-in-one that never touches land until it actually finds the cup," Rose later said.

The 46-year-old celebrated in style, raising his arms skyward before jabbing his finger downward to mimic the ball's perfect descent into the hole. The moment provided a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing round.

Rose followed his highlight with a bogey on the tenth hole, but the memory of the ace was already secured.

Moments before Rose's heroics, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler nearly joined the hole-in-one fun, hitting his approach on the par-3 second hole to within three inches of the cup.

Rose's career includes 13 PGA Tour victories, including his most recent triumph at the Farmers Insurance Open earlier this year, where he won by seven shots. He captured the FedEx Cup in 2018.

Looking ahead, Rose aims to strengthen his standing for his eighth appearance on the European Ryder Cup team when the biennial event heads to Ireland next fall.
