Judge approves purchase of Sandy Pines Campground

Streamside Parks LLC, a company that does business in Tennessee and Wyoming and owns parks nationwide, is in line to buy the campground for $13.5 million. The purchase, which comes a few months after the park first went up for sale, can proceed now that District of Maine bankruptcy Judge Michael Fagone has given it the green light. If things go according to plan, Keenan said, the sale will be completed in midsummer. The $13.5 million sale includes the entirety of the campground, which has more than $16 million in total assets and over $20 million in liabilities, according to court documents.  The sale is being handled by Keenan Auction Company in coordination with commercial real estate groups Hunneman and CBRE.
