In closing in on transgender rights, Trump shows wisdom | Letter

I crave more substance from our elders than: “I think Donald Trump is a crazy person.” That’s all that was said in the June 11 letter “Reminded of the importance of listening to our elders.” That’s what constitutes wisdom from our elders?

Wisdom, speaking as a 72-year-old, means looking back in my time to notice societal changes. President Trump is working to reverse the greatest scourge put upon innocent children, transgenderism.

The real wisdom of elders can pinpoint when morals in America went off the rails. It was during the sexual revolution of the late 1960s and early ’70s. Credit goes to the burgeoning sex, drugs and rock and roll era of those times. That’s when “free love” meant heterosexual sex outside of sacramental marriage. Then, free love in homosexual relationships was the next moral barrier to fall. That moral wall officially fell in 2015 with the U.S. Supreme Court mandating same-sex marriage in all 50 states.

Follow that up with the past five years of transgender ideology being forced upon gullible children in many public schools across America. President Trump has taken executive action to root this out from public schools.

Maybe we can listen to the youngest of Americans who voice disapproval of transgender people. Search the internet for grade-school children wearing a shirt or verbally telling a teacher “there are only two genders.” The implication is that gender is witnessed at birth and not assigned.
