Maine High‑School Football Friday Round‑Up
Livermore Falls, Oct. 10 — In a day of high‑scoring showdowns across the state, Spruce Mountain edged Cape Elizabeth 40‑28 in the biggest game of the weekend. The highlight of the contest came when Spruce Mountain’s running back Dylan Jewett broke free for a 70‑yard touchdown, shedding a tackle attempt by Cape Elizabeth’s Henry Boucher before sprinting into the end zone.
The 70‑yard burst was one of many exciting plays that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Jewett’s run, which was captured by staff photographer Russ Dillingham, will no doubt be remembered as a season‑defining moment for the Spruce Mountain team.
