Hannaford has issued a recall for ground beef sold at its Yarmouth location, citing the potential presence of foreign materials in the product.

The recall, announced by the grocery chain on Wednesday, applies to 81% lean and 19% fat ground beef, as well as in-store trim, purchased at the store at 756 Route 1 on Monday. The affected products have a sell-by date of Sept. 8.

According to Hannaford, the recall is being conducted out of an abundance of caution. The company has reported no injuries or illnesses associated with the product.

Customers who purchased the affected ground beef are advised to check their storage and freezers and to refrain from consuming the product. Hannaford states that the product or its packaging can be returned to the store for a full refund.

The universal product codes for the recalled items are 21129100000, 21128700000, and 21128800000. These numbers are located on the packaging of the recalled products.
