Florida woman allegedly drugs man she met at club, steals his nearly $100K Rolex: police

Miami Woman Arrested in Alleged Drug‑Spiking Scheme That Led to $100,000 Rolex Theft
A 32‑year‑old woman from Miami was taken into custody on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, on charges of second‑degree grand theft after police said she drugged a male patron in Hallandale Beach and stole his expensive wristwatch. Crouse was booked into Broward County Jail and released the next day after posting a $2,500 bond.
The Incident
According to a probable‑cause affidavit filed in the Broward County District Court, the victim met Lynda Mae Crouse at the Carousel Club in Hallandale Beach on the night of April 12. The men began a conversation around midnight, exchanged Instagram handles, and later the victim rode an Uber to Crouse’s home at about 1:20 a.m. Once there, the pair drank several alcoholic beverages in the man’s living room. The victim then went to the bedroom to change clothes, during which time he reported feeling “funny” and “extremely tired,” according to the affidavit.
When the man returned, he claimed he heard a “distinctive clapping sound.” He said Crouse was acting “different” and abruptly told him she was heading home. The victim later fell asleep and woke several hours later, still feeling strange. He discovered his gold, 40‑mm, diamond‑bedazzled Rolex Presidential watch was missing from the box in the living room. The watch was appraised at $98,400 by the victim.
The man identified Crouse in a police photo lineup, and the affidavit notes that she was the only person he recognized.
Prior Allegations
The Broward County case is not the first time Crouse has been linked to a drug‑spiking scheme. Police records indicate she has used a similar method at least four other times in Miami‑Dade County. In one separate investigation, a victim’s toxicology tests confirmed the presence of zolpidem, a prescription sleep aid, after he was allegedly drugged by Crouse.
Charges and Release
Crouse faces a felony charge of second‑degree grand theft for the alleged theft of the Rolex. After posting bail, she was released on the evening of the arrest. Her bond amount was set at $2,500.
Current Status
The case is pending. Law‑enforcement officials have not released any further statements beyond the affidavit and court filings. The victim has not yet issued a public statement regarding the incident.
