Arjun Nimmala and Aaron Parker blasted two-run homers in the first inning and Jorge Burgos hit a grand slam in the fourth, leading the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to a 15-8 win over the Portland Sea Dogs in an Eastern League game Thursday night in Manchester, New Hampshire.

The Fisher Cats grabbed a 4-0 lead before making an out in the bottom of the first. Leadoff batter Victor Arias was hit by a pitch, and Nimmala followed with a home run to left field. Burgos then reached on an infield single, and Parker lined a Gage Ziehl pitch over the left-field wall.

The top four batters in New Hampshire’s lineup combined for 11 runs and 10 RBI. Arias was 5 for 5, reaching base in all six plate appearances.

Portland briefly tied the game in the fourth inning, as a two-run homer by Brooks Brannon and an RBI double by Caden Rose made it 4-4. But Burgos put the Fisher Cats back in front with his grand slam in the bottom half.

Nate Baez hit a three-run homer for the Sea Dogs in the fifth. New Hampshire, though, broke the game open again with six runs in the eighth, highlighted by Dub Gleed’s three-run homer.

Franklin Arias hit his 18th home run for the Sea Dogs in the ninth.
