Fire at Wells Beach produces heavy smoke

Fire crews battled a large house fire on Sunday afternoon at Wells Beach, responding to the call around 4:30 p.m. at 129 Atlantic Avenue. The blaze generated thick, black smoke as emergency responders worked to gain control of the situation.

Both the Wells Police Department and Wells Fire Department personnel were on scene, attempting to contain the rapidly spreading flames.
