Ex-NFLer Emmanuel Acho sells out Big Dom for podcast views, putting Eagles security chief under investigation

NFL reportedly reviewing Eagles security chief’s role in crash involving former player Emmanuel Acho
PHILADELPHIA — The NFL is reportedly examining whether Philadelphia Eagles Chief Security Officer Dom DiSandro violated league rules or exposed the organization to liability through his involvement in a traffic crash that occurred during former linebacker Emmanuel Acho’s playing days.
Acho described the incident on his “Speakeasy” podcast, recounting how team security became involved after he struck another vehicle while traveling to practice. Acho, a former Eagle who later became a prominent podcast host, said he panicked and contacted security.
“I hit one of our security people,” Acho said.
According to Acho, the security employee advised him to send the first responding officer away and have another officer document the crash.
“When the cop shows up, send the cop away,” Acho quoted the security employee as saying. “I’m going to send you another cop and that other cop is going to say it wasn’t your fault, it was their fault.”
Acho said he was surprised by the suggestion.
“Wait, they do that?” he said.
Acho said a second officer arrived and recorded the other driver as responsible for the collision.
“I was like, ‘Yo, this is crazy,’” he said.
The former player also said the other driver recognized him as an NFL player after the crash. He said team security then offered two Philadelphia Eagles home tickets and signed jerseys.
“Our head of security had to offer them two home tickets plus signed jerseys,” Acho said. “And they were like, ‘Oh, no, we’re fine.’”
The account has brought renewed attention to DiSandro, known as “Big Dom.” The league is reportedly considering whether DiSandro’s alleged actions violated NFL rules or created liability for the Eagles. The central allegation concerns whether team security influenced the official documentation of the crash. No finding or outcome from that review was reported.
DiSandro previously drew NFL discipline in 2023, when he was fined $100,000 and suspended from the sidelines following a confrontation with San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw. That disciplinary action was separate from the matter now under review.
Former Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel criticized Acho for discussing the incident publicly. Responding on X, Samuel wrote, “Like I said before, watch who you do business with. We have an investigation going on because fool is dying for attention and a gossip queen smfh.”
Acho’s account raises questions about how professional teams handle traffic incidents involving players and whether security personnel may influence crash reports. Whether the NFL concludes that DiSandro’s alleged conduct breached league rules or created exposure for the Eagles remains unresolved.
