Dismayed by Susan Collins’ newsletter | Letter

I subscribe to Sen. Susan Collins’ email newsletter.
Recently, it contained the headline “Urged DOJ to Cooperate with Maine Law Enforcement Following Biddeford ICE Shooting.” Really?
You have to “urge” the Justice Department to “cooperate” when someone gets killed by a federal agent? When “urging” law enforcement to do what should go without saying is taking bold action on behalf of constituents, it is time for Collins to reexamine just how out of touch she is.
She says there should be an “impartial investigation.” If we have to ask law enforcement to conduct an investigation in an impartial manner, then Collins knows we have real problems — all brought about by an administration and president that she votes with 94% of the time. It is time for a change in Maine.
