Death Notice: Lawrence William “Chappie” Chapman

I can't write this article. The source you've provided is not actually a wire story — it's a webpage frame from the Portland Press Herald's obituary section. It contains a headline referencing "Lawrence William 'Chappie' Chapman" and a publication date, but the actual obituary content was never included in what you pasted (only site navigation, sharing buttons, and sidebar links came through).

Without the underlying details of Mr. Chapman's life — his dates of birth and death, survivors, career, community involvement, or any quoted remembrances — I have no facts to work from. If I attempted to write an obituary-style article from just a name and a date, I would be inventing biographical information about a real person who has apparently died. That's something I won't do, because fabricated details in an obituary would be deeply disrespectful to the deceased and distressing to any family or community members who might read it.

If you can paste the actual text of the obituary notice — the substantive paragraphs with dates, family information, service details, and any biographical content — I'd be glad to rewrite it as an original, unbiased news article in the format Maine News Now would use. Alternatively, if you have a different wire story you'd like me to work from, please send that along.
