Death Notice: Katherine “Kitty” Louise Thomas

Katherine "Kitty" Louise Thomas, 94, of Scarborough, died on May 23, 2026.

Thomas was a longtime member of the Scarborough community, where she lived for many years. She was known to those around her as a warm and caring presence.

Friends and family will have the opportunity to honor her memory at a visitation scheduled for June 12 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Jones, Rich and Barnes Funeral Home in Portland. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the same location.

A reception will be held at 11:30 a.m. following the conclusion of the service, providing an opportunity for attendees to share memories and comfort one another.
