Death Notice: James Healy
James Healy, a longtime resident of Scarborough, passed away on May 24, 2026, at his home. He was 69 years old.
Healy lived his entire life in the Scarborough area, where he was known for his dedication to his family and his community. Those who knew him describe him as a man of quiet strength and unwavering reliability.
"He was the kind of person who always showed up when you needed him," said a close family friend who requested anonymity. "Whether it was helping a neighbor or being there for his family, James was someone you could always count on."
A celebration of Healy's life will be held on June 14 at the Scarborough Hospitality Center, located at Hobbs Funeral Home. The service will run from 12:30 to 3 p.m., allowing friends and family to share memories and offer their condolences.
Healy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Margaret Healy, and their three children, Michael, Sarah, and Thomas Healy, along with several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Catherine Healy.
Friends and family are invited to attend the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Scarborough Community Foundation in Healy's memory.
