A small fire broke out on the waterfront at 39 Portland Pier, and the Portland Fire Department quickly dispatched crews to the scene. The firefighters contained and extinguished the blaze, preventing it from spreading to adjacent structures or vessels.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning, and emergency services responded within minutes. While the department has not released a cause for the fire, reports indicate no injuries or major damage were sustained. The pier’s owners and local businesses were notified of the incident, and the area has since been cleared for regular traffic.
