California teacher Samantha Watson arrested for alleged sexual conduct with student at charter school

Samantha J. Watson, a 41‑year‑old resident of Eastvale, was taken into custody by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit after a months‑long investigation uncovered allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor. The inquiry began in January following reports that the teacher had engaged in inappropriate contact with a student while working at a charter school situated on the 23000 block of Sunnymead Boulevard in Moreno Valley.
Authorities allege that between 2017 and 2018 Watson sent harmful material to a juvenile, participated in oral copulation, and performed digital penetration. She now faces multiple charges, including sending harmful material to a minor, oral copulation, and digital penetration.
Investigators executed a search warrant on May 22 at a residence on the 14000 block of Silent Stream Court in Eastvale. Watson was detained without incident. A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office issued a brief statement: “This is an ongoing investigation, and no additional details are available at this time.”
The case remains under active review, and officials have indicated that other victims may be involved. No further information about the school or the student has been released, and the department has not identified the specific institution where Watson was employed. The investigation continues as authorities assess the full scope of the alleged misconduct.
