Café Luna moving to The Downs in Scarborough

Café Luna plans to move its original Scarborough location next spring to The Downs, the town’s 500-acre residential and commercial development.
The new café will be located on the ground floor of The Breakaway, a building in the “Town Center” area of The Downs. Owner Juliann Joy said she expects to be open by May 2027.
The new 2,600-square-foot space will be slightly bigger than Café Luna’s current space on Route 1, with a garage-style door that opens onto a patio.
Café Luna opened a second location in Falmouth last year. Joy said the new location in The Downs will offer her business better parking than it currently has in Scarborough, which will help to meet the needs of her growing customer base.
“I think it’s a good fit for us,” Joy said. “We have a big following. I think this is going to make everyone follow us over to The Downs.”
Café Luna’s menu features a selection of smoothies, smoothie bowls, salads, toasts and sandwiches. Some of the most popular items include Turkey Cheddar and Chicken Bacon Chipotle sandwiches, chopped salad, and avocado toast with hard-boiled egg and chipotle aioli. Joy said the offerings at The Downs will be the same as at the other locations.
