Brunswick Downtown Association celebrates Midcoast Senior College’s new home
The Brunswick Downtown Association invites the local community to celebrate the official opening of Midcoast Senior College’s new home in downtown Brunswick with a ribbon-cutting ceremony from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, located at 14 Middle St.
Midcoast Senior College, a nonprofit organization dedicated to lifelong learning for adults ages 50 and older, recently relocated to its new office and learning space in the heart of downtown Brunswick. The new location provides expanded opportunities for classes, lectures, clubs, special events and community gatherings while strengthening MSC’s connection to the vibrant, downtown business district.
The event will feature the ribbon-cutting at 1:45 p.m., followed by brief remarks from community leaders, tours of the new facility and light refreshments. Guests are invited to meet MSC staff, volunteers, faculty and members whilst learning more about the organization’s wide range of educational and cultural programs. Community members, downtown businesses, elected officials and friends of Midcoast Senior College are encouraged to attend. Parking is available in nearby public parking lots and on surrounding streets.
“Midcoast Senior College is an important part of Brunswick’s educational and cultural landscape,” said Reilly Kons, executive director of the Brunswick Downtown Association. “We’re delighted to welcome MSC downtown and celebrate the investment they’ve made in creating an inviting community space for inspiration and learning.”
