Brooke Hogan Responds to Mother’s Facebook Post, Threatens to Make Private Exchanges Public

Maine, Aug. 31, 2025—The Hogan family drama that once played out on the small‑screen reality show Hogan Knows Best has taken a new, public turn. After a Facebook post from Linda Hogan on August 30 that praised photographs of the family but also accused her daughter, Brooke Hogan, of “tossing us aside … like trash,” the 38‑year‑old singer‑songwriter issued a stern reply on Instagram.

Linda, the former wife of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, posted a series of old family photos and wrote: “I posted these wonderful photos of Brooke my daughter with me and my ex‑husband her father and my mom and dad and really … the whole family! Brooke is loved. We feel hurt every day that she just tosses us aside. Like trash. I want to make sure she remembers how it really was. And can really see how much she was adored and loved.” The post was shared to Linda’s Facebook timeline on August 30 and was immediately reposted by Linda’s brother, Jeff “Twitch” Hogan.

Less than a day later, Brooke shared a screenshot of the post on her Instagram Story and added a caption that read: “This 👌 close to breaking out some screenshots – which are ONE of the many reasons WHY.” The former VH‑1 star went on to say: “I don’t take constantly dragging my name through the mud lightly.” She added: “The selective amnesia isn’t gonna work.” The final two words of the message were a warning: “Final warning.”

The exchange marks the latest escalation in a relationship that has been publicly strained for years. Brooke has previously explained that her decision to cut contact with both parents stems from separate issues. In a March 27 statement on Instagram, she wrote: “No contact with my mom has nothing to do with my dad, and no contact with my father has nothing to do with my mother. I have completely separate reasons for going no‑contact with each of my parents.”

In that same post, Brooke alleged that she had suffered “extremely verbal and mental abuse” throughout her childhood, and that “sometimes it would frequently turn physical.” She also said she had been asked to defend her family’s behavior to the public, only to discover she was “misinformed, manipulated, and lied to.” Brooke concluded that the boundaries she had set were not respected, which ultimately led to a “no‑contact” situation.

The tension intensified after the death of Hulk Hogan on July 24, 2025. The 71‑year‑old wrestler, born Terry Bollea, was hospitalized for cardiac arrest and died at a hospital in Tampa, Florida. He was survived by his ex‑wife Linda, his daughter Brooke, his son Nick, and his wife Sky Daily.

Despite his passing, Brooke has said in an April interview with Fox News Digital that she still feels love for her father. “I’m honest with him now, and I talk to him all the time, even if that seems like I’m a cuckoo bird,” she told the outlet. “If he showed up today, I would just be like, ‘I love you so much, and I wish you would have just let me in.’” She added that her estrangement was not a matter of love but of a “calloused” direction in his life and the company he kept.

Linda’s Facebook post and Brooke’s swift Instagram rebuttal demonstrate how the Hogan family’s private disputes have repeatedly spilled into the public sphere. The next development in the saga remains to be seen, but the 38‑year‑old singer‑songwriter has made it clear she is prepared to turn any private communication into a public record if the criticism continues.
