An 11-year-old boy riding a bicycle was hit by a driver in Portland on Monday evening.
The boy was treated at the scene for a minor leg injury. Portland police say the driver, who was talking on a cellphone, crashed into the bike at the intersection of Brighton Avenue and St. John Street.
The driver was going through a green light while the boy was crossing Brighton Avenue. Police say the driver, a 19-year-old Portland man, faces charges of operating with a suspended license and driving to endanger.
