Maine Food Producers Showcase and Golden Fork Awards Set for Portland Oct. 8

Portland, Maine – The Maine Center for Entrepreneurs will host its biennial Food Producers Showcase and Golden Fork Awards this Thursday, Oct. 8, drawing food industry professionals and community leaders to a two‑hour event at the Holiday Inn by the Bay.

From noon to 5 p.m., the Holiday Inn will turn into a tasting floor where more than 50 Maine‑based food and beverage companies will display new products and sample their latest creations. The showcase is aimed at buyers, distributors, retailers, chefs, food‑service professionals, investors, industry partners and local leaders who want a first look at the state’s culinary innovation.

The program begins with two panel workshops. The first panel will explore current retail trends, while the second will bring food‑service buyers and distributors together to discuss how they are adapting to a changing market.

After the panels, the Golden Fork Awards will honor the best‑in‑show winners across food, seafood and beverage categories. Following the awards ceremony, attendees can stroll through the exhibitor floor, sample offerings, and network with producers.

Tickets are available on the Maine Center for Entrepreneurs website at mced.biz/events. The event opens at 12:30 p.m. and runs until 5:00 p.m., making it an ideal stop for anyone interested in Maine’s growing food economy.
